Surat’s Young Chess Star Aradhya Patawri Creates History, Selected for National Championship

Surat (Gujarat) [India], December 5: Aradhya Patawri, an emerging chess talent from the city and a Class 2 student of DPS Surat, has made the city proud by securing first place in the Gujarat State Under-9 Girls Chess Championship. In the competition held in Ahmedabad on November 30, Aradhya delivered an outstanding performance, scoring an impressive 6.5/7 and clinching the top position.

Aradhya, daughter of Sourabh and Ankita Patawri, has showcased exceptional skill on the chessboard in a very short period since she first stepped into the world of chess at a young age. Her aggressive yet balanced moves, thoughtful strategies, and calm demeanor during crucial moments helped her maintain an edge in all her matches. The confidence she displayed in the final round made her a strong contender for the title and ultimately led her to victory.
