Young Chess Star of Surat Aradhya Patawri Makes History, Takes Fourth Place at National Championship.
Surat: A chess player from Surat, a Class 2 student of DPS Surat, Aradhya Sourabh Patawri, who has attracted national attention due to her sharp moves and mature play at a very young age. Aradhya has now performed well at the national level as well after winning first place in the Gujarat State Under-9 Girls Chess Championship.
Aradhya participated in the National Under-9 Girls Chess Championship in Guwahati and played against the best young players in the country and secured an excellent fourth place that made Surat and the state of Gujarat proud.
The parents of Aradhya, Sourabh Patawri and Ankita Patawri,were overjoyed with the success of their daughter. They told that Aradhya has demonstrated outstanding ability and discipline at a very young age. She had also won the Best Player award in a state-level tournament that was held in Ahmedabad earlier.

In the championship, Aradhya shocked all with her aggressive yet well-balanced moves, smart tactics, and calm mind at the vital moments to maintain herself as one of the strongest contenders for the title throughout the championship. Her outstanding success has generated a sense of joy in her school and family.
Meanwhile, her elder brother, Shaurya Patawri, is also a chess player and has been featured in the Asia-India Book of Records in Mental Mathematics, as well as having several records in other competitions. He still remains a never-ending inspiration to Aradhya. The whole Patawri family and her maternal Baid family have been supportive and always encouraging towards her path.
This is a national-level performance of young Aradhya which is being viewed as firm ground for future international competitions, and this is the start of a bright chess career.
