G.D. Goenka International School Hosts “The World Heritage Quiz” to Foster Cultural Pride

“Preserving heritage is preserving humanity”. To raise awareness about our diverse culture and heritage, G D Goenka International School, Surat organised “The WORLD HERITAGE QUIZ’ on 14 th June 2025 at school auditorium. The motto of this event was to preserve the cultural and heritage roots of our Indian tradition and foster the belongingness by appreciating the richness of the past.

The Preliminary round was conducted on 10 th June 2025 for grade 5 – 8. Each section had various categories: Class 5- Witnessing on Musical Instruments, Festivals, Dance Forms. Class 6- Current affairs, Lunar Calendar, Class 7- Ancient India, Mythology and Class 8- Medieval and Modern India. This round shortlisted the finalist for the final round leaving more educational, taking up high spirits in each
individual.
The most awaited was the final round after navigating all the young minds this round was more challenging; the last round was full of mind wars and the coin flipped like a stroke.

The final battle of knowledge had Map Quest: Which left the students to a world of various quest. Timeline Tangle: entangling the sets of events or incidents into the correct chronical order. Riddle: Words played games and challenged the young minds to solve it, Audio- Visual Round: “Hear the sound, see the vision” concept made the young Goenkan’s experience the thrilling connection between the past and present. Bidding Round: Think wisely before you bid, the most challenging round which represented confidence, knowledge and risk-taking ability.

The grand event was concluded by felicitating the participants, capturing all the teachers and students in a FRAME with a smile. Parents of the finalists were invited to witness the event.
