Raas Garba Celebration with Grandparents at White Lotus International School

Surat, September 20, 2025: The campus of White Lotus International School, Vesu, was brimming with colors, music, and joy as the school celebrated a one-of-a-kind event, “Raas Garba with Dada-Dadi and Nana-Nani”, on Saturday, 20th September 2025. The celebration was exclusively curated only for grandparents and their grandchildren, making it a unique platform where two generations came together to bond, rejoice, and celebrate culture.

The evening unfolded with a grand traditional welcome for the grandparents, who were the true guests of honor. Dressed in vibrant festive attire, they radiated happiness as they entered the venue with their grandchildren. The event began with an exciting ramp walk, where grandparents confidently walked hand-in-hand with their little ones. The ramp echoed with cheers, claps, and smiles, creating a moment of pride and affection for both generations.

Adding to the lively spirit, the school had thoughtfully organized a series of fun games, specially designed to bring out the playful side of grandparents. From lighthearted challenges to interactive activities with their grandchildren, these games filled the atmosphere with laughter and joy, reminding everyone that age is no barrier when it comes to fun and togetherness.

The highlight of the evening was the much-awaited Raas Garba, where grandparents and children danced gracefully to the traditional beats of dhol and garba music. The sight of little hands clasped tightly with wrinkled yet strong hands symbolized the eternal bond between generations. The circular formation of Raas Garba beautifully represented the circle of life—where traditions are passed down, and love flows endlessly.

Principal Mrs. Purvika Solanki addressed the gathering, saying:
“At White Lotus International School, we believe education goes beyond classrooms. Events like these are a way to celebrate the invaluable role of grandparents and to teach our students the importance of family bonds and cultural heritage. Seeing our children and their grandparents dance, laugh, and play together was truly a heart-touching experience. These are the values we want our students to carry with them for life.”

The celebration concluded with blessings from grandparents, heartfelt smiles, and promises of meeting again with the same enthusiasm. For many, it was not just a festival, but an opportunity to relive cherished memories, strengthen relationships, and create new moments that will last a lifetime.

The Raas Garba with Dada-Dadi and Nana-Nani at White Lotus International School was not merely an event, but a living example of how traditions, values, and love connect generations in the most beautiful way.
