White Lotus International School Celebrates Janmashtami with Cultural Fervor and Devotion

Surat, 14th August 2025:White Lotus International School celebrated the auspicious festival of Janmashtami, marking the birth of Lord Krishna, with immense joy, enthusiasm, and cultural richness on its campus.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across all grades, who embraced the spirit of the festival through vibrant performances and creative activities. The celebration not only paid tribute to one of the most revered deities in Indian mythology but also aimed to instill timeless values such as righteousness, compassion, and wisdom in young minds.

A major highlight of the celebration was a cultural presentation in which students dressed as Krishna, Radha, and Gopis, beautifully bringing mythological stories to life through dance and dramatization. In addition, students participated in a creative art and craft activity, making colorful Krishna crowns, showcasing their imagination and devotion.

Adding further excitement to the day was the much-awaited “Dahi Handi” celebration. With great enthusiasm and team spirit, children formed human pyramids to break the traditional clay pot (matki), symbolizing Lord Krishna’s playful nature and his legendary love for butter (makhan).

The entire school campus was decorated with festive colors, traditional motifs, and student-made artwork, creating an atmosphere of celebration and devotion. The event concluded with the distribution of prasadam, spreading joy and a sense of togetherness among students and staff.
