Surat, August 19: Depicting the role of the Freedom Fighters, IDT students under the mentorship of IDT faculty members Aarushi Upreti, Sakshi Pahariya and Tapan Rawal celebrated “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” at Surat Airport. Through attractions like 3D banner, rangoli and a lively dance performance, IDT students grabbed the attention of the passengers at the airport.
IDT students intricately created the fighters’ faces through rangoli colours and showcased the powerful slogans given by them. The rangoli also showcased support for P.M. Modi’s “Bharat Jodo Andolan” through closed fists representing a united “India”. IDT students Binny Sharma, Harshita Rawat, Khushi Mohata, Shakshi Sancheti, Nimisha Ramani, Priya Shah, Lakshya Rathi, Roshni Raj, Keshvi Kabariya and Tanishka Dang undertook this project.
A 3D banner created by IDT students was also displayed on Surat Airport, showcasing the heroes of the freedom struggle. The freedom fighters came to life on the tricolour using 3D elements like thermocol, fabric, thread, etc. IDT Fashion students Monisha Dariyani, Vidhi Jain, Shruti Bhandari, Bushra Banu, Karina Rawal, displayed their creative skills through this display.
A tribute was also paid to these heroes of the independence struggle through a dance performance that captivated the travellers. Through a representation of the hanging of Bhagat Singh and various formations, the performers Khushi Jain, Nishka Narang, Nidhi Sharma, Gauri Sahetya, Neha Singh, Upasana Balchandani were able to awaken patriotism in the hearts of the viewers.
